The short answer

Same slim six-bottle design, same pure steam and same drip tray to keep milk off the heating plate, and both keep contents sterile for up to 24 hours with the lid on. Owners rate them equally, at 4.6 out of 5 on Philips' site. The difference is drying. The Advanced steam-sterilises in 10 minutes and switches off, leaving bottles wet. The Premium adds jets of filtered air and takes 40 minutes to sterilise and dry, and it brings an air filter to keep an eye on, where the Advanced has no filters at all.

Dry bottles you can assemble straight away are genuinely useful if you're bottle feeding round the clock. But the Premium costs around £115 against £65, and £50 is a lot to pay for drying, especially when Tommee Tippee's QuickDry sterilises and dries in 26 minutes for around £100.

My call: the Advanced for most homes, and particularly for combination feeders and occasional expressers. If you want drying, look at the QuickDry first, and pick the Premium only if you find it discounted.
