The full review

BuddyPhones are made by Onanoff, which specialises in children's headphones. The Play+ are its wireless all-rounders, sized for three to 10-year-olds, and Mumsnet rates BuddyPhones' three-setting wireless models among the best kids' headphones for toddlers.

Those settings are the reason to buy: 75dB ToddlerMode, 85dB KidsMode and 94dB TravelMode. For a small child I'd set 75 and leave it there; 94 is for noisy planes, not everyday listening. It's the only pair here with a limit below 85dB.

Onanoff quotes 20 hours of battery and a 20m wireless range, and the BuddyLink cable lets them work wired or share audio with a friend. You also get a built-in microphone, a StudyMode that boosts voices for learning apps, stickers and a soft travel bag.

Recent independent UK testing of this exact model is thin, so my score leans on the specs and on Mumsnet's view of the range. If you want noise cancelling too, Onanoff's Cosmos+ adds it, for more money.
