The full review

Babymoov's Hygro Plus is one of the few humidifiers designed specifically for a baby's room. It's an ultrasonic cool-mist unit with a 360° adjustable nozzle, a built-in hygrometer and a temperature readout, and it can regulate itself: Babymoov says it holds humidity between 40 and 50 per cent automatically. That's the feature I'd prioritise, because the main risk with any humidifier is overdoing it.

Babymoov rates it at 25dB, says it runs for up to 22 hours depending on output, and it switches off when the tank runs low. There's a colour-changing night light, and it can double as an oil diffuser, which I wouldn't use in a nursery. Mumsnet's round-up picked it for near-silent running and its humidity and temperature monitoring, with price as the main drawback.

Babymoov suggests cleaning it as often as once a week, and I'd also empty and refresh the water daily. At around £80 it costs more than a general-purpose humidifier, but the built-in hygrometer and lifetime warranty go some way to justifying that.
