The full review
The Nanit Pro is an overhead Wi-Fi camera that mounts on the wall above the cot and streams to your phone. Its party trick is sleep analytics: it tracks when your baby falls asleep and wakes, then turns that into trends and personalised tips. It won Gold for Best Baby Monitor at the Mother&Baby Awards 2026.
Picture quality is very good, and the bird's-eye view shows the whole mattress rather than a sideways slice of it. Mumsnet's testers praised the image and the night vision. Temperature and humidity sensors are built in, and it works with Alexa and Google Home.
The small Breathing Band in the box (for 0 to 3 months) lets the camera track breathing motion without any sensors on your baby, and Nanit's own plan comparison lists live video, sound and motion alerts and Breathing Motion Monitoring as free features.
The sleep analytics and video history are another matter. After the introductory trial, Nanit UK lists its Sleep plan at £50 for the first year and £100 a year after that, with pricier Memories and Milestones tiers above it. Extra Breathing Bands start at about £20. There's no dedicated parent screen in the UK either, so your phone does the job, and MadeForMums testers reported occasional Wi-Fi disconnections.
