The full review

Momcozy is everywhere on Amazon, and the M5 is its best-known in-bra pump. The M5 Smart is the updated version, adding app control and longer battery life. Momcozy quotes 285mmHg of suction, three modes and nine levels, 230g per pump, under 48dB and 180 minutes (about six sessions) per charge, with a 160ml cup.

Tester feedback is consistently positive for the price. Mumsnet named the M5 its best wearable for portability, calling it quiet, discreet and efficient. Mother&Baby's testers, using the original M5, liked how quiet and light it is and rated it well for leaks, though they noted the parts weren't dishwasher safe and that finding the right flange size took some trial and error.

There are only four washable parts per pump, which Momcozy says can be sterilised. Its claim that the DoubleFit flange boosts efficiency by 28.2% is based on internal user feedback, so I'd take it lightly. What you're really paying for is a light, simple pump that does the job at a fair price.

Momcozy's pricier M9 and ultra-slim Air 1 add extras such as charging cases, but they cost considerably more and aren't essential for most people.
