The full review
Perifit Care+ is the upgraded version of Perifit's popular app-connected trainer. You insert the probe, open the free app, and your squeezes control simple games, from steering a bird to playing pinball. Behind the fun, the app builds a training programme and tracks strength, endurance, speed and control over time.
Compared with the original Perifit Care, the Care+ is smaller (the insertable part is 6.3cm long and 2.7cm across), has a flexible design, and adds extra sensors and position detection to flag contractions where you're pushing down or using the wrong muscles. It never needs charging: the battery is designed to last years and Perifit backs it with a five-year warranty, though Reviewed.com's tester pointed out that a non-rechargeable battery isn't ideal environmentally.
Owner feedback is strong, averaging 4.6 out of 5 from more than 1,200 ratings on Amazon UK. The main complaint, echoed by Reviewed.com and Mumsnet, is Bluetooth dropping out mid-session, which is annoying during the longer fitness tests.
Perifit is clear on timing: don't use it in pregnancy, and wait six to eight weeks after birth until a healthcare professional clears you. At £139 with a 100-day trial direct from Perifit, it's the easiest trainer to recommend.
